DRONE WORKSHOP

American Helicopter Drone

Drones are being used more and more in everyday life. They are used to survey land, track wildfires, deliver packages, and make movies. But how much do you know about them?

In this 3-hour workshop, you will learn about the different parts of a drone.

You will learn the science behind drone flight, and even get to fly a drone on several missions.

So join us as we have fun and explore the newest technology in vertical flight.

 

Date:  Saturday, November 9th, 1 - 4 PM

Ages: 8 - 12 ​ Fee:  $80​​ (includes a drone)

ENGINEERING WORKSHOP

What is engineering and how do we encounter it every day? There are many kinds of engineering, but in this workshop, we will focus on civil engineering, Civil engineers build bridges, airports, roads, tunnels, and many other things. What stresses are there on structures? What shapes are the strongest? We’ll build some structures to test out what we have just learned.
